Holley 600 or edelbrock ?
#1
What carburetor is everyone using for their cars? I have a 351 Cleveland  2v, fmx, 3.00rear.
Upgrading to RV cam and 4 barrel carb and intake. My research has found Edelbrock is relaible for a street car. Drag race guys love their Holleys.

Thanks guys.

Neither, Summit 600 or 750, depending upon what an "RV" cam is.

+1 on the Summit. Unless you like tuning and re-tuning and rebuilding carburetors, then go for the Edelbrock.

Barnett highly recommends the Edelbrock carbs...NOT. See this thread:

And, as the resident Edelbrock Fan (nut, weirdo, whatever), I love my Performer 1406, and my car is almost exactly as your specs describe: 351C-2V with a mid-range cam & roller 'everything,' AOD (same gears as FMX but w/OD), and 3.00 rear end.

I don't know what's wrong with all these other guys.   whistling

I have had a 1406 on my car for 3 years with no issues. A huge improvement over the 4300D. Maybe I am the exception to the rule.

I run a 1406 on my stock 351 2V with edelbrock performer intake. Quite happy with it.

My 1971 sports roof 351C is running the Edelbrock Performer Plus Cam and Performer Plus 2v cylinder head intake with Holley 750 - 4v carburetor . I did upgrade the 2v heads rocker arm and fulcrums to the 4v version.

I am with Mister 4x4 on the roller, ie, Roller Rockers!

Mustang 7173 that is the camshaft that I'm going to get. I would love to hear yours running at idle. Only one on YouTube and was a bad video. Thanks
