Holes in my head(s)
#1
Hi there, I have a 1973 351 C which I have added an Edelbrock aluminum manifold. My problem is, now that I have the correct gaskets, there seems to be a hole in each head that the gaskets dont cover. I seem to recall reading threads about this but I cant recall when or where! Does anybody have any thoughts, Im sure lots of you have ran into this before.... Huh

Yes, they are fine. Nothing goes in them. It's weird I know.

With the elderbrock aluminum manifold you dont need them..They are for the exhaust crossover...Some cutt the holes..But i had plenty of long talks with the techs at jegs...And they said its not needed with their new manifolds.

Yep I asked the same question when I installed my heads. The holes have no function for us and no need to give them another thought.

They do have a habit of catching any small part you drop while working on the engine. Other than that, they have no function after manufacturing. Chuck
