Subtle but not for me. Ford put enough scoops on my Mach for my tastes

I thought it was showing off the pinstripe as one continuous line instead of breaking at the marker light.

It's an interesting idea, but why scoop there when you could just as easily get cool air from the front of the car to cool the brakes? To me that scoop doesn't compliment the lines of the car in any way to want it for aesthetics (my opinion of course!) Though I do think if you actually tried to do it, you'd have to shift up from the marker light a bit. That light relies on the sheet metal around it to mount properly.

Nice Photo 'Chop... but it's not for me. As MechEng eluded to, why not just get even more forced-air straight from the grille area?

Now... heat extractors on a functional Ram Air hood - THAT would be cool. thumb

I appreciate the opinions, thats why I post my thoughts, to see what we think.

Spoken like a true gearhead and your exactly right. The thought is based purely on aesthetics and how the car comes off to the other 99.9% of the population. We've beaten up the reality of brake scoops on another thread so I won't rehash it. Just wanted to hear the thoughts and opinions.

Most of the extra scoops on our mustangs remind me of Aussie coupes not a bad thing, but I like both how they where styled from the factory. The Mustang as a sleek beast and the coupes as aggressive looking circuit cars which they where

Yeah, I keep bouncing around the idea of fender scoops and that thought stems from Aussie coupes, 69 Shelby, and Milano concept. I don't disagree with any of the opinions of my peers, I don't like what I've come up with either, but I just can't shake the idea. I really want fender scoops but I really want them to look good too. If they never get pleasing they will never happen, but you just never know.
