The exhaust pipes in photo "11" are identical to the ones I got from
Don of OMS. Do the dimples in the pipe have any function?

They are the cheap way to bend pipe, the bender creates those. They reduce the internal diameter/area, increasing back pressure. The more expensive way is called mandrel bent, where a steel mandrel is pulled through the pipe while it is being bent, creating a uniform diameter and area, reducing back pressure.

Just typical "inner bends" from the pipe bender.

Nice-looking car. Can't believe someone would ever sell it.

That is an OE appearing exhaust set-up to me. The factory system were not done in the more expensive mandrel equipment so they would have the reductions for bending.

Why would they use "cheap" pipe on a Boss 429?
Is there something about "exhaust gas bounce"?

It's just a matter of economics, say they saved $10 per set of pipes, 100,000 cars equals $1 million saved (made).

Factory appearing pipes. Kinda the point of a correct appearing car is it not ?
