Hard to reach rust spots
#1
Fellas! What's the best way to eliminate the rust in the hard to reach spots inside the quarters? Sand as best as you can, then clean with alcohol and hit it with Rust Bullet? Is it even worth sanding those areas that are reachable, or just hit with Rust Bullet as-is?

The easiest would be Eastwood rust encapsulator, but I want to kill it dead. Rust Bullet is so damn expensive though, it'll take gallons to cover all the rust in the car. Not quite sure what to do at this point.

I'm going to head Scott off at the pass! I know Rust Bullet is the best way to go, I'm just worried about getting it in all the cracks and crannies.

Steve use an assortment of these http://www.globalindustrial.com/c/tools/...nd-Brushes on a extension to get as much surface rust as possible..SLOW SPEED high speed will polish the metal & compromise adhesion..Then you could spray the hell out it or use an assortment of small foam brushes taped on a stick etc. to reach in..Dont cheap out it's not gonna take as much rb as you think..It goes a long way..As added measure you then use this..http://www.winzerusa.com/?__event=browse...c33ea23501 My entire car is going to have this after its done..

Thanks Scott, I have some wire wheels but I need to find a flexible extension to get in the tight areas. That damn budget keeps shrinking!!!

So you just spray the Tekwax on after the RB cures?

The car is going into the body shop on Wednesday, so I'll be doing all the interior stuff when it comes out. Looking forward to that.
