Been a while sence i shot one...My shoulder nice and warm now from 2 boxes.lol..I grew up with my dad and older brother buying the old mil version and sharps...This is the first one i owned thou..But shot alot of them...It come with some black powder loaded ones too..Great thing about 45/70 single shot....Plus easy to reload 45/70 brass thanks to no neck down...They can handle more reloads before they get too weak.

Thanks all!! ..Really like it.

good cartridge. had a lot of interest in it here in Aus for the last 2 years cooled of now, lots of marlins going for not bad prices. good for busting pigs in cover or the odd scrub bull and buff. I have a liking for the Winchester 1886 extra light

My freind has one...We took it out the same day i took this out..I got some video of it..And i shot it a few time too before last week....Great guns...His is a competition model..so you have to be real fast with the action...Was made for a bit of speed competition shooting..lol

one of the best guns to pack in the woods Wink..My buddy who works for feds had the same model years ago....It does got quite a kick..It would not be as bad if they put a little curve to the stock like mine..Speads out the punishment better...Only reason they make them strait now day is so it is easier to mount a recoil pad.
