fuel filler pipe twist-on cap
#1
In one of e-bay's spam mail, saw this:

http://www.cjponyparts.com/scott-drake-g.../GC713PSD/

Never seen that little twist-on cap. cjp does not sell it alone.
Any idea where I could order one (or even better, one you could lock)?

If you have an original pop open rear cap the twist off will not work with it.

I have this one - http://www.virginiaclassicmustang.com/71...P2288.aspx

Came with this style of inner twist-off cap - https://www.npdlink.com/store/products/g...679-1.html

I haven't found an inner twist-off cap with those slots that fits. Tried a few at NAPA, but only had one that was very close, but was just a little too small.

Looks like that is a full size cap, which is much bigger than the smaller twist-on type that goes inside the pop-off cap.

This looks to be a replacement of the fuel cap on itself.
What we would need is a cylinder that fits the tube and have a shape that prevent it can fall into tube and be just level with cap base so you can close.
This last point only means probably the modification of the filler tube so you can insert something deep enough and that it can't go further down/get stuck into the tube
