Front suspension kit question.
#1
I am planning on ordering a front suspension kit from OHIO MUSTANG SUPPLY. I found to kit on ebay, and it has a price of $319 and "free" shipping.
My question is.......can anyone tell me of any problems with this kit? I believe the kit # is 31285. I appreciate any feedback.Thanks..
I have a '72 Sportsroof with a 302, automatic and all the A/C components have been removed.

Just ask Don at OMS, he will tell you the truth about anything he sells.

I have seen so many suspension reproduction pieces out there that do jot fit that I would save myself the trouble and just order it all from a reliable source like Don at OMS. Scott Drake parts are hit and miss and there are some aftermarket brands that are real junk, so go with someone that knows what he is talking about and can offer you quality products at a fair price. I ordered all of mine individually and looking back, think that I could have saved a bit of money ordering a kit. I would recommend taking the opportunity to replace steering linkage setup to include idler arm, pitman arm, and steering box... Oh and don't forget the rag joint on the top side of the steering box!

Don at OMS has kits as well. Make sure you are comparing apples to apples. Don actually knows these car well and is more than just some guy selling parts whether they are any good or not. Just an opinion. Chuck

Consider upgrading your spring seats to one's that have roller bearings in them. Also might be a good time to replace the strut rods with something that has a heim joint. Both of these are expensive but worth the extra money.
