Front frame rail support
#1
I'm referring to the support piece that goes under this. Or are they not needed when replacing this part?

Ya know I've done so many vid & picture posts sometimes I mix em up I think it was picture post can't rememberSad Anyway if we are talking the same part the way I did it Was like so. order up the heavy gauge metal rear fender aprons (there are 2 types out there if you check npd they sell both) I had them because I had ordered them years ago when they first came out & when we tried them out the fit was non existent so i ordered the newer ones from Don..you will know the difference because the heavy gauge ones come in bare metal. YOU USE THE TOP EDGE (BENT FORMED PART THE FENDER RESTS ON) to fabricate the extension done correctly the bend is already made for you & it fits PERFECT under the new rear or front apron. Look in this video at the 33 second mark & you will see the passenger side shock tower with the rear repair section I made using this technique. If you order both rears it will make both fronts & rears for you.

I happen to have 2 extra heavy gauge firewall to shock tower sections. If I understand you correctly, I can Use the top section of them for the front rail? Just cut to fit?

MM..post up a pic please of what your trying to replace repair.. Yes thats correct But you need to match up the width & orientation so it fits the new apron & it's not a frame rail its called a shock tower extension Pause the video look at the picture & you will see how i did it ..that is a piece off the donor rear apron sectioned onto the shock tower

Here is what I have. The 1 looks like swiss to me. But after what you said about the fender, I'm thinking I can fill and grind to build it back up. Let me know if you think that's an option.
