Front fender lower bolt mounting
#1
Wrench
Looking for a little help...when my son and I dismantled our 73 Mach 1 project, we twisted the @#$% out of the front fender lower bolt mount (behind the tire) on both sides. It's time to start putting it back together. I'm looking for some info on what the bolt mount originally looked like and its placement on the side panel. Thanks for any help out there.

Here is a pic of the fender brackets that bolt to fender...not sure if this is what you are talking about.

Behind the tire. Under the rocker.

I have a lot of photos of the fender tabs, but not a shot looking up at the bottom of the side panel. Hopefully someone has a photo.

The tape measure starts at the front of the rockers. The right side up numbers are the LH rocker the up side down numbers are the right rocker.

Mine were a little twisted up too, I just used a small body hammer and anvil to flatten the front one back out, and used new j-nuts. Just make sure not to rip the hole open!

Nice pictures that helps, is there a back to the tab off of the torque box or just a 90 degree tab? The tape measure is blocking the view in the first picture, just wonering what keeps it from bending up or down, I find that the tab is pretty important to line up the fender right.

Just bent at a 90 with no extra bracing on the back side. The LH side has been repaired by PO. The RH is original.
