For those interested in ZDDP levels
#1
For anyone who is interested, I just spoke with the tech department at Amsoil regarding ZDDP content in various oils, all 10W30 weights.
Z-Rod, 1470 Zinc, 1340 Phosphorous
Racing, 1580 Zinc, 1430 Phosphorous, fewer detergents than Z-Rod due to race oil being changed frequently
Signature (for modern cars), 860 Zinc, 780 Phosphorous, Moly is added as an anti-wear agent to replace the ZDDP
I'm mixing Signature and Z-Rod for use in my Flat Tappet Cam mowers (1985 vintage). Chuck
