#1
I have decided to sell my 71 Mach-1. I bought this car form the original owner. It has 20,000 original miles on it and was a former show car. This car has been lightly customized bt the original owner. The car is located in North Carolina. Serious inquiries only please. Price is 17,500

Not much there to ID it from a standard Sportsroof, other than the grille. What are the leading digits in the VIN code?

Is that a tv in the dash?

Yes,when the original owner made it into a show car He did some interesting things. Putting a TV in the dash was one of them. Not my idea of a good time but that was His vision.

I hope the shock tower braces are somewhere? And thats not even a radio unit but just a small television and pretty old too. Interesting..
Good luck with the sale!

Kind of side bar but why do people not put back shock tower braces? I can't tell you how many Fords in general that don't have them. I guess people don't understand that they are structural? I wouldn't drive mine down the road without them.

I wonder how the car handles with out the shock tower braces, it must twist while taking corners.

Good luck with the sale and yeah...lack of shock tower braces would have me seriously concerned. I thought Mach 1s all had full length consoles. The exterior is good looking.

This car was made into a Show car back in the 70's. It has only 20K on it. My guess is the Original Owner took off the braces for the look only. If it make a difference to anyone who is interested in the car I will provide a set of original shock tower braces for it. As far as the asking price goes I know everything is negotiable. I will consider reasonable offers on the car. My intent is to sell it. Thanks
