#1
Well it was warm yesterday and i started her up for the first time since last fall.

It really has been around 4-5 months since i last even got inside my car.

the idle still sucks, the exhaust leak still sucks, and she was pinging slightly up a steep hill.

urg, normalcy guess i'll be putting more time into it this spring Sad

it was good driving it, mechanically at the moment it appears to be good, but that can change.

Thinking about it now i remember why i parked it and didn't touch it for the last 4-5 months.

Could be a lot worse! Hopefully you will work those bugs out fairly easily. Still fun to drive though!

well brother at least you can start your up. I am still trying to figure out the heater hose issue so I can fill it up and fired it up, I do not even care if I have the exhaust put on it yet,lol

i'm been fighting it for 7 years now. have yet to get the tune right.

Have to get hotter plugs this year also. the vacuum advance looks like i need to adjust it back down again, I bumped up initial timing from 10 to 12.
seemed to run a little better. I should also bump the idle RPMs in gear up 50 rpms

as always shes, cold, lean, and pingy... gurrrr...

Drove mine to work today. 7mpg, 22 miles each way, premium gas and octane boost. Top down, 60 degrees on the way to work, it wil be 80 degrees on the way home. Nice.

since i've returned from deployment, its been cold so all the driving the mach 1 has been doing is drag racing with only a few laps around the neighborhood to ops check a few new items.

at the moment, the entire fuel system is outside the car (had original feed line and everything). i now have a BILLION little socketless AN fittings to do my entire fuel system. i am installing an electric pump to an regulator and running a return line back to the tank. i'm installing a 5/8 suction feed line to the pump, then 1/2 line to the regulator and pump, then doing a 3/8 line for the return line.

mach 1 will be down for a while until i get this glen's performance sump tank in and all these lines figured out.
