I wonder if they really paid that much for the car or if that was for the tv show. It did not look like it was worth anywhere near that much money to me.

Knock the plane jane fastbacks all you want but mine gets alot of positive attention every time everywhere it goes. Don't believe everything you see on TV, if I remember right it came out that the show "storage wars" was pretty much rigged with loaded storage units and manipulated bidding.

don't get me wrong, I like the plane Jane cars, I've got a Plane Jane convertible no bells or whistles.

the price is what gets me, a rusted car, and they start with $10k, and end at $7.5K that high I think for the condition.

That price doesn't leave much of a profit margin after the restoration is completed without cutting alot of corners.

They are not very good at restoring cars, but damn good at flipping them. And as stated above...it's a show

I thought cutting corners is what that particular show was all about.
The few episodes I saw were always buy a car, do minimum work, splash on a flashy paint job and sell it as the best thing since sliced bread.
I wonder if they give the seller a basket to pick up the pieces that will start to fall off those cars after a while.
