Exhaust
#1
Hello! My next step for my 1972 is the exhaust system. I Installed a header from Summit and cutoff the rusted stock dual system with dual mufflers.
I need advice on a good dual system that will not break my bank account. Should I go with stainless or just aluminum??? I really don't want the car to be too loud, I like the deep muscle car tone just nothing excessive. I want to be able to listen to my tunes like The Cars, Boston, Beach Boys and Depeche Mode Etc!!!

Here is the exhaust system I purchased from Don of OMS.
We installed ourselves using clamps. The engine was
also purchased from Don and you can clearly hear the "cam".
The video is poor quality, but you get the idea. It is surprisingly
quiet inside the cabin.

Thanks!
The original, or should I say, what came with the car when I bought it,
had glasspacks, cherry bombs. The problem being, there was no glass
left. I somehow heard Don had access to exhaust systems. If Don
sells it and I need it I buy it. It is a simple rule. The system is H-pipe
and patterned after one used on the Boss351. There are several
bends in the pipe that seem to serve no function, but they do. I have
learned the exhaust system is just as important to how the engine
runs as is the carburetor. The new exhaust system has presented
challenges for fine tuning the engine.
