Engine Clean up and repaint
#1
I'm looking for some advice on the best materials and proper paints (color of blue/black manufacturer etc...) to use in order to properly clean up the engine compartment of the '73 Mach1 I have. VAmach1 in specific showed me the huge difference an afternoon can make with the right supplies and knowledge. So if you kind people would give me some tips so I don't make it look like I'm doing a cheap cover up as opposed to a thourough cleaning and repaint I'd be extremely grateful.

Thanks

Hey jfiery!! Are you planning on doing a factoy correct colour restoration or what is your plan? Im from overseas so i`m not big help in order to correct materials but i can tell you that planning the steps you are about to do is crucial... If you are looking for a factory look, even if you are not yet into restoration itself... a good choice of the right gloss on the engine bay black or the right ford blue to the engine make a big difference...

If you tell us a little bit more about your plans we are gonna be much better help!
