Electric choke connection
#1
I have a 71 351C 2V engine with new Edelbrock Performer manifold with Holley 4V carb that has electric choke.
Old ones had thermal choke.

Where is a good connection for the [ + ] side of the electric choke?

Instructions say to connect to a good ignition activated +12V source.

Suggestions please?

Use the STA terminal on the back of the alternator. This is what Ford used for the factory chokes.

Do you have an electric choke wire with a female spade connector coming off the harness running along side the passenger side of the carb? That's what I used.

Mine is a 71 so it did not have electric choke = no wire.

I ran it to the STA connector.

Thanks guys.

Just added fluids, hopefully will get her started soon!chili

Oops, for some reason I was thinking you had a '73 even though you said that yours was a '71 in the first line. Good job on the choke.

Looking forward to the first start-up video! Woot!
