Dynamat the only option?
#1
What other options are out there for insulating and sound deadening?  Dynamat is pretty expensive.  What else can I buy and from where?

Thanks!

If you consider a mat you dont need to cover 100% for noise reduction. I think that with 75% coverage (or maybe less) you can get about the same noise reduction at a lower cost because you need less material. Doesnt apply for heat insulation though.
I read several articles about this a long time ago. It makes sense because a lot of what you are trying to do is reduce the vibrations of the panel that could be achieved with less than 100% coverage.
There are also other brands beyond Dynamat that are more economical.
A carpet with underlayment would help as well. There are also some options that you can spray on. It is all depends on what and how you want to achieve it. You will probably get good responses in here.

This has been used by a lot of car owners. Some people shy away from it as they are afraid it will smell. Most people that use it like it.

"I love my Hookers!" and "Get some Strange" probably have a different connotation to non automotive enthusiasts!

I used RAAMat in mine - exactly the same as Dynamat, but substantially less expensive (probably because it doesn't say, "Dynamat" all over it - LOL!).

Hope that helps!
