Dropped off at restoration shop

Just a quick update on my 72 vert, I fixed the transmission problem myself which only included replacing the vacuum modulator, adjusting it and replacing all vacuum lines! Now she shifts smooth and runs great. (my last post AAMCO guy said I needed a full rebuild so I proved him wrong). Just dropped off the car at Florida Mustang Restoration in Plant City, FL. Work to be done:
--weld new battery inner apron(old one rusted through)
--fix power windows and hook up new vert top switch. I tried for 4 weeks...
--Get quote for long tube headers and still need to finalize ones I want.
--Install Custom Autosound radio
--get quote for NASA hood and "possibly" paint.

More to come as she comes along!

Congrats on the trans fix. Sounds like a good plan at the shop.

Sweet. My wife argued against the NASA hood but I prevailed (you gotta pick your fights, right gentlemen?) Anyways, now she loves it. This was back in the day when they were not repo'd so you had to find one.

Anyways, you can do the long tube header install yourself. Lot's of elbow grease, hurt knuckles and some blood but it's not impossible. It's much easier for a shop that has a lift compared to doing it in the garage on your back. And you also get the fun of driving it some short distance to a muffler shop Wink
