Dashboard Light Sockets
#1
Does anybody know if there are any reproduction or replacements for these (the ones that plug into the dashboard switches and illuminate the bezels)? I've checked the "Big 3" (OMS, NPD, CJP) so far and had no luck.

In going through my wiring harness, I've discovered several that need replacement: one needs the plunger/spring along with about 3" of wiring to be complete again, and a few others are simply missing altogether.

Otherwise, the wiring harness seems to be in pretty good shape and useable (so far, so good).

Thanks!

I'll hafta check this out later when I have some more time and can measure the openings in the actual dashboard fixtures. I believe the 8522 (Chrysler Ford GM Instrument Panel Light Socket 1/2" 8522 ( PS-22 ) ) will replace missing sockets on the back of the instrument cluster itself (which I think I might be missing a couple of those as well), and the 8524 (Universal Snap-in Miniature Base Light Socket for 5/8 Hole 8524) might fill the bill for the bezel illumination.

I was hoping there might be a Scott Drake-like solution out there... and I haven't been to his website yet to see or inquire.

I found some once at a parts store that fir into the holes but discovered that the little tabs were slightly smaller and were unable to connect to power and this although they fit they did not function. I wound up getting a bunch of good ones in a junk yard.

"I love my Hookers!" and "Get some Strange" probably have a different connotation to non automotive enthusiasts!
