More stuff to come, but here's the skinny:

I bought this in December 2012, and got it out of storage in March 2013.

Odometer reads less than 27,000, and based on the condition of the motor and front suspension, I believe it may actually be true.

I have since:
swapped in an Edelbrock Performer intake manifold
put in an Edelbrock Thunder Series 650CFM carb
replaced the 17" knock-off wheels with original 1973 14" slot wheels
Replaced the entire front brakes, including organic pads
Replaced the entire rear suspension-it had a bad case of the sags

Getting ready to:
Replace the 2.75 rear ens with a 3.89
Replace the 3-speed FMX trany with a wide ratio AOD
Maybe some valve covers...

Looks great. Is the picture of the wheels before and after? What kind of Mother's polish is that?

Yes, the 2 on the left are as they were when I bought them. Basically, they had sat for probably 20 years. The 2 on the right each had about 2 hours of polishing with a dremel.

I used Flitz aluminum pre-clean, which is a non-acidic aluminum cleaner. It made a difference, but it was the Mothers polish that really made them shine. I went through about 4-5 little felt polishing wheels on each one using the dremel on its lowest setting. I don't remember exactly which Mother's it was. They have 2 types for Aluminum. I think it was the Mag and Aluminum Polish. I'll have to check tonight when I get home.
Great looking convertible
That's a beauty!

It was originally Blue Glow, according to the Marti Report. But this is not a factory color. The PO had it painted, probably 5-7 years ago. I would like to see it with Argent stripes as opposed to black. The black ones are hard to see.

She goes to teh transmission shop for a swap today. Hopefully, it will get done next week.

Pulling out teh FMX and putting in a wide ratio AOD built by Silverfox Performance Transmissions. It will have an improved valve body, with a user-adjustable WOT shift point, and better fluid flow so the torque converter will have constant pressure.

The AOD will be "upgraded" to include the internal gear set from a 4R70W transmission, which has a more agressive first and second gear, plus will provide an "overdrive" fourth gear.

They are building the transmission with a custom built 12" brazed lock-up converter, which should really sync up well with the wide ratio option.

All-in, the total cost (installed) will be about $3,000, maybe $3,200 by the time I'm done with new cables, adapters, yoke, maybe new U-Joints...
I like the stripes being a little hard to see.
The AOD will be a nice upgrade and not a bad price. What stall speed?

Really nice looking car.

Stunning color!
Car looks excellent! Gotta agree with Will E on the stripes. They look cool - kinda understated but you can still see them. Very cool and different look. Afraid argent ones would stick out too much for your car - the black ones look a little sinister - and that is cool to me.
