Crankshaft Seal/RTV Photo- Seeking
#1
I thought for sure there was a photo on this forum showing exactly how to mount the rear main seals so they overlap the block/journal as well as where to place the RTV, but I cannot find them.

Interesting, when I search for crankshaft seal I get nothing.

Not sure how that can be.

Any help in locating the photos appreciated.

The video is good. But there was just a photo with one edge of the seal sticking out of the block, the other half ending in the block...

This photo then showed the RTV placement.

Thanks for the video though...it is good.

Just a dab of sealant on each end of the seal works.

I would strongly advise a lip seal over a rope seal.

Tried all the differant seals but none of them worked so far right now I have the rope seal in it right now but that is also leaking so right now I am leaving it be.

This is more than a hobby, its a Passion, its a way of life.
