Well the question is totally subjective. The correct answer is...it's yours, do whatever makes you happy. I prefer darker colors but the metallic pewter is really sharp.

Is it a 73 Mach 1? If so Pewter with correct 73 stripes. If I ever redo mine I am going to go Black on Black. I just think the 73 Bumpers kill the effect of the bottom paint with a 71-72 stripe kit.

It is a 73 mach 1 the only proplem I see with the original color (pic #2) is that Eric ( mister 4x4 ) is doing that on his 71 and we are on the same base... but if we have the ying yang twins it will be all good right?

No, you'd have an alibi... "It wasn't me, there's a second silver fastback!"

1973 Mach 1 Q code 351 4V, 9A paint, standard interior, 3.50 rear, C6 trans.

I used to own a '72 Mach that was Pewter. I currently have a '71 Boss that is black. I love both colors. I would say if you love both colors (probably do since you don't know which way to go), go with the one that's original to the car. To do a color change right, there's a lot of areas that need painted that don't normally get it, which costs more. I hate seeing a car at a show that has different color door jambs, trunk, whatever. To me it detracts.
