#1
Has anyone ever done it here? I couldn't find any pictures of it. Seems like it might look really good where their located in the engine bay. Thoughts? I'm obviously a modifier Cool

The only chrome horn I've heard of is the front bumper!

Seriously, the horn would need to be disassembled, chromed and reassembled.

Jeff T.

Low buck, touring style, '73 Convertible "rolling restoration", 351c, 2v heads with a shave and a haircut, Performer intake, Holley 650(ish), roller rockers, screw in studs, guideplates, stainless valves, Duraspark / Motorsports MSD, T-5 conversion. 1-1/8" front, 3/4" rear swaybars KYB shocks and some home brewed subframe connectors. Future plans; JGC steering box, Cobra brakes and... paint, interior, etc.

When I die I want to die like grandpa, peacefully in my sleep... not screaming, like his passenger.

very true... was just curious. Probably why I've never seen it done! I just love to kick around ideas. Would love to see pics of dressed up engine bays. Here's one I saw somewhere... I like that the owner painted the bay the actual car color...

Thanks for sharing. These just don't have the high quality look that I would need if I am to consider modifying. So far I haven't seen anything that gets may attention.

I chromed the horn on one of my other cars you need to disassemble the whole thing much like when chroming your wiper motor. Don't know if I would do it again. Consider a after market chrome horn for a Harley Wink

Yeah...I hear you. It sounded like a good idea at the time but don't need another project. Too many other things need to finished first! I love the Harley horns but not sure that's the right look for our cars. I'm just keeping my eyes and ears open because this is an area that seems like a little creativity might work.

Cheers, John

One of the reasons I suggested a HD horn is they are small and you can fab up a cover in the style you like or buy one eBay has lots cheap

Just a few more examples
