Great - there goes the neighborhood.

Look, as much as I like and admire Chip Foose, he's just another one of those high-end car guys that really doesn't know squat about our cars. I envision this one getting slammed with 20s, a weird paint job that looks great from one angle only (and just weird from the others), and maybe even a Coyote dumped in there ahead of a TKO and 4-link rear-end.

Just from that pic alone, it looks like a fairly decent car to start with - too bad it's going to [most likely] get messed up, noticed, and every Chip Foose wanna-be will be demanding $80,000+ for their "diamond plate interiored monstrosities" as well.

Hey I have a couple of project cars he can choose from if he wants to do one or two
Requirements are a Coyote, 6 speed and anything else he wants to do to it Big Grin
On second thought if it's his checkbook he can do what he wants Haha

Ya... I'm not going to lie, you just described my dream build....

I guess minus the 20's, I think they are a little too big for our wheel wells. 18's maybe 19's tops.

The problem is he has to build the car with what he can get for free. You don't think he pays for any of that stuff. Advertising. I would like to see one of the cars after about a year and see how the skim coat of bondo they slather on looks. I bet the cars are wavy after everything cures out. Anybody can build a modified car but few can do a great restoration.

When a man is in the woods and talks and no women are there is he still wrong??

When I build a car, I build a car. A to Z every little painstaking bit of it, as do most of the guys on this forum. What's it like to have a crew of experts to handle the details of the build? Who does the work ? I see these cars get built in a matter of weeks. It gets a body guy, a paint guy, an interior guy, you know what I mean. I'm not being condescending to chip but I personally bust my azz getting a build done in a year or sometimes 2 . I'm just saying!!! I'd like to know. Does chip do it all himself???

I think he is only used for design and photo ops. Like contracting a builder for a house. The sub contractors do all the work.

Ya that's what I thought , he designs & draws a pic of it. Great imagination but I doubt he has to clean his hands with Brillo at the end of the day. Where's the fun in that?
