Check out Hagerty's "Cherished Salvage" coverage
#1
I assume this is offered throughout Hagerty's classic car customers, but my broker just sent me this info on their "Cherished Salvage" coverage. What this does is it means you can keep your vehicle should it get totalled. You get the full amount for which the car is insured plus keep the car. That way even if it is only worth the parts value, it's better than letting a junk yard get it for next to nothing and making a killing on the parts. The cost is only 15% of the premium. For me that's only 29 bucks Cdn a year, or just over 2 bucks a month. A no-brainer!!
If your broker has not let you know about this coverage, call them.

Hmmmm might have to look at this. I almost totaled mine, and now I have a completely rebuilt front end, engine and lots of new parts. I know that they have a by back program, but they get a couple bids and you have to match the high one. This sounds like a better and safer idea. I guess it all depends on your situation though.

John, I have obviously not yet read or seen "the fine print", but from what info I did get, it is hopefully as described by my broker (who happens to be my daughter)
Still a good option to consider imo.
