center gauge cluster lens

Mine are so discolored you can hardly see through them. I tried cleaning them but it didn't help (polish and such).

These are still not available right? I remember a while back they were for a short period of time.

Will,

Read my center guage post. I used 2 Pak cutting compound and then polish to finish off and got a very good result on my scratched and dull original lenes.
All rubbing was done by hand and took a while, but was worth the effort.

Since they are flat we have taken thin plastic - cut to size - and epoxied to the housing.

Once the bezel is back on it looks perfect.

One could also attach them to the back of the dash bezel as well.

I have also thought about using thin glass - it would look really nice.

Alternatively, you can use your old one and modify a flat lens that is available. The process can be found at:

I made the videos because I had the same problem. Good luck, if you take your time and work carefully, it comes out great.

Thanks guys. After posting I went to the local autostore and picked up a 3m headlight cleaning kit. I figured it couldn't make it any worse and if I messed it up completly I could buy some clear plastic and make my own.

I have to say, like you guys posted, I am pretty happy with the results.

Here is one I have not cleaned:

and the one that I did:

Not perfect but a lot better for sure.

Here they are in the cluster. I will let you guess which one is 'done'

Here is a before and after example against white background. You can see there is still some haze.

But I had removed about half of the material so I went about as far as I felt made sense.
