Building a 27T Roadster-sort of
#1
Well, insanity has set in and I'm in the process of a fresh build.

I found a 27 T roadster fiberglass dragster body with running boards and full fenders and decided I had to have it.

C-4 corvette front suspension is waiting along with a Jaguar IRS rear

Motivation will be a 348 Chevy motor in front of a powerglide

Front wheels are 19x10's with 275-40-19's

Rears are 15x12's with 32" tall dirt track tires

Got a nice Oldsmobile tilt column to work with but still need some small parts.

With some help from my friends I'll build a nice low chassis in the 116" neighborhood.

Pictures may or may not be forthcoming

348s were nice engines, unique looking, be nice to see something besides boring 350 SBCs.

My thoughts exactly on the 348. The block has a crack in the water jacket, but a friend is going to come by the shop with a porta tig and some silicone bronze rod and tig it up tonight. It ran when pulled and I spent a whopping 500.00 for the complete engine and a cast iron powerglide, which I hope to sell off to a restorer as it is in really nice shape.
