Brake Lights
Have a 73 mach 1, turn signals, headlights, running lights all work, just don't have brake lights.  I was trying to remove plug from brake light switch so I could jump wires.  I can get my hand on the plug but wasn't able to pull it loose.  Does it just pull off or is there some type of release on the plug.
Hello rjpohl,

Yes, there is a release. It is a big pain in the November. The first picture is the Big Ford.It is a much better illustration. The second is the actual mustang.

Thanks for the pictures, I think I see the release on the right side of plug. May be easier to pull pin and drop switch before unplugging.
Hello Bob,

I believe that is what I have done in the past!

That switch is know to be very reliable. Was used in a DFM, Design For Manufacturing, seminar I went to. Had an almost perfect record because it is so safety critical. You should be able to probe the wireand see if there is current there. Getting that pin out is a real pain in the neck for sure. I have been putting off taking my PB booster off just because of that pin.
Check all the grounds in the back also. See if you are getting voltage to the socket but not grounded.
I hate electrical issues on these cars or any car.
Couple pics from parts car I tore down. Just probe the end of the plug and save some pain. Should tell you if working or not.

When a man is in the woods and talks and no women are there is he still wrong??
I did finally get the steering wheel dropped down and found that one of the two wire connections was loose. Pushed it back in place and all is good.
