Anything out there that looks old, but is new?
#1
OK, so I'm really into music, and I like it pure, not necessarily loud... jst great sounding.

My '73 came with AM/FM radio, so there are speaker locations.

Are there any companies that make retro looking radios that use modern technology?

I'm willing to replace speakers. I'm willing to place the CD player out of sight...

Anyone out there plowed this ground already who can share their solution?

There was a thread not long ago about this. I'll try to find it.

Here's the competition to Classic Auto Sound:

http://www.retrosoundusa.com/products/category/id/1

Mustang Monthly just announced that Retrosound is introducing the 'Model 2' which also has Apple licensed software able to control iPods, iPads, and iPhones, along with Bluetooth connectivity, in addition to all the other goodies the Model 1 has.

I personally like the looks of the CAS USA-630, because I want the old school look as well... but I've heard bad stuff about the CAS units, and almost everybody that doesn't like them agrees that the Retrosound units are much better.

I dunno - both look great, but if one performs better, than I'm all over that. I'm also going to hold off til I see more about the Model 2 before making a decision.

The Retrosound also offers the Stock looking knobs.

Yup - and they look good, too. Although, Don (OMS) is now carrying them as well (the knobs).

There's also a Mustang Specific page on both sites with all of our model years - be sure to find those for better pictures.

That is the exact setup as mine, I have a small 200w amp under the dash to hide it, I just dont have the A/B switch I use an FM modulator.

I do not currently have an 8-track player but have been looking for one on and off sicne I bought the car back in the 20th century. They seem to be very hard to find in working condition.
