Anyone in Tampa or Clearwater FL?
So maybe I can check out the local Mustang club scene or a cruise night. I'll be there for five days at the beach but I won't be driving the Msutang 16 hours to get there. Undecided

Ponypastor (Tim) lives in St. Pete. I usually meet up with him for the best Cuban food that's not in Cuba. Great guy to talk cars with too.
You may have to PM him...it seems he get on here every few days and may miss this thread.

CTGSTANG lives just west of Tampa. Another very nice guy who owns a red vert.

RED SCORPION also lives in that area but I haven't met him.

I'm sure there are others but can't think of them right now...I must be getting old.

Rex: Good to know that you will be in our area over the weekend. We are watching a hurricane develop in the Caribbean and anticipate it will be here over the weekend. But nothing is definite at this point. Just watch and wait. That's the way it is here every August/ September. Wish it could be different for travelers/vacationers.

In any case, I am just south of Clearwater. Happy to hook up with you, say, during the week sometime. Shoot me an PM and we can plan from there.

There is a cruise-in on Friday night here in St. Pete at Biff-Burger; it is Florida's oldest cruise-in. Hard to miss: corner of 38th avenue north and 49th st n. A real 1957 Chevy sits atop of the building--so it is hard to miss. Not very many Mustangs, though. Tends to be dominated by guys who are lost in the 50's. If it rains, few will show. But if clear skies, then plenty of loud 50's music from a live DJ, clouds of cigarette smoke, rivers of Budweiser, and guys/gals waiting for the 50's or Elvis to return. If you are under 60 yrs of age, you will definitely be part of the younger crowd.

Hope you have a secure and enjoyable journey to our spot on the map. Tim
