Good read, I would love find an old treasure out in a field somewhere, found mine on craigslist, went to check it out and it was put to pasture up in kansas, at that moment we knew we had to rescue it. 3 years later the car is driveable and about a year from being completed.

Congrats Mike! Most of the pasture or barn finds I've seen are almost turned back into pasture (rust to dust) and not worth the drive to look at.

Could you imagine driving up on that Shelby in the pic? My luck they would not sell it for "any amount of money" Dodgy

I here ya Ray, even if it couldn't be saved it would make some cool yard art :-)

It is a shame how some people would rather watch a car turn to dirt rather than make money and let someone bring it back to life.

great post. And thanks Mike for reminding me that cars found in the woods don't get restored overnight. I'm year two into my resto, which was sitting in the woods for 6 years, and it may be another two before it's done...maybe three.

Your welcome, all good things take time. You'll get there if you stick with it. At first I thought I got in over my head, but countless hours later it is something to be proud of nowSmile
