No, we don't want to be a mini Facebook but it is good to use features that many people are used to...it helps the forum be more intuitive to use.

Do you have to manually delete your alerts everytime you get one? (re)visiting this thread does not seem to delete the alert for it... That could get annoying perhaps?

Yes, they need to be manually deleted...I'm not sure MyBB has the triggers needed to automatically clear alerts but I will check.

There are quick link buttons to delete all alerts with one click in the popup and on the alert page.  You can also got to alert settings and turn some or all off if you wish.

Yes I like it. With the amount of new threads and posts, it's easy to miss one or even forget where and what subject are being discussed. We are getting older I'm afraid!
Recent upgrades and changes are for sure, making this site top notch.
