Advice on Mag 500 tire combo.
#1
Hey guys, just hopin to get some opinions on tires for my car. I have 15x7 front and 15x8 rear 500's and was going to put 235 60 15 bfgoodrich t/a front and 255 60 15 bfgoodrich t/a on the back but it seems there are no 235 60 in the country right now and they arent being made. Thought about the 225 60 but dont want to much difrence front o back so i could go 245 60 in the rear. What do ya think. Id love to see pictures of similiar size tire combos. Thank ahead of time for your opinion. Michael

I have 245/60/15 all around on my 71.. I think they're the perfect size for our cars. My 73 has 225/60/15 on the front and 245/60/15 on the back.. Idon't care for having different size tires but I got a good deal on the keystones which were 15x6 and 15x7's.

I pulled the trigger on a set of staggerd rims, 15x7 and 15x8 with 225/60 in the front and 275/60 on the back. I almost went with 225/70 as this would straighten out the height issues but though there might be clearance issues then so with the CJ Pony Package and saved enough to buy a set of fronts after the season is over...

I would go 245/60 up front and 255 or 265 60 out back. 225s are to small.

I, Agree with 71mach351 about the 245/60/15 all around you can see a pic of my red ramair car with this size and 15X8's on it before I found the dog dish wheels at this link.

Bf goodrich did that to me last year with the 295/50/15 . I looked all over the place and couldn't find any, finally I got tired of looking and went with some Mickey Thompson radials. A few months after I bought them I saw where Bf Goodrich started making them again . I can't believe they did that with the 245/60/15 I would think that's a pretty popular tire size. I would do the 245/60 up front and at least a 255/60 in the rear. I have 245/60/15 on 15x8's on the front and 295/50/15 on 15x10's on the rear.

I agree on 245 being the all around best looking size. The tires on my car always looked small to me.

Or you could always scrap the Magnums and Roll Low and Slow
