I finally went to the shop where they are fixing my car. I’m very pleased with the progress. They have the hood, fenders and doors painted. It all looks really nice. Only thing was that I told them I wanted twist locks added, but they forgot to cut the holes before paint. No big deal, but I’m sure it would have been easier to cut the holes first.
The bumper (thanks Don from OMS) is looking nice too. I took a few pics of the car, but I didn’t take any of the panels, was to overwhelmed with looking at everything that I just forgot to. Plus, I was really making sure that they get the hood pattern correct, so they only have to do it once.
I was pleasantly surprised that they removed the doors and were painting them correct, hanging in the spray booth. I’m having them do the black along the bottom and I kinda forgot that my door jambs weren’t painted all the way in far enough but they were already getting it ready. The painter also showed me the blackout color on a different hood and it looks really nice. I’m sure looking forward to seeing how it turns out.
Great shop and great bunch of guys! They showed us all around the shop and we checked out some of the other cars they are working on. I’m so glad I took it to this place.
