A/C Parts Needed for 134a conversion
On another note, I talked to Mike at original air in Tampa and cleared up all the information I need to take care of the A/C. He was very helpful and seemed to be very familiar with our application. The only hose issue will be with the hose from the compressor to the top of the condenser. That hose was originally rubber and will leak 134a right thru it. All of the other hoses were made of nylon and will be just fine. As far as oil goes, he said to drain the compressor, then fill with 11oz of ester 100 then work the clutch numerous times then drain it, and let it drip out a while, then fill with ester again and it will be ready to put back together. All the other hoses, evaporator and condenser will get flushed.
Great info. Nice to know there are options and a upgrade path.
