there is one place that makes a fiberglass version but there is also a thead on here about their quality. I bought one about a month ago before I saw the thread on them. I actually just came up from cleaning my garage and decided to open it for the 1st time. Its been sitting in my garage for weeks now and I've been scared to open it thinkin it would be terrible! Angry but from what I can see its not too bad. I plan on fabricating brackets for it myself and fitting it. Other than that there is no one making one like the OEM one.

Here's the vendor Crites:

Here's thread on this forum about them!

Well that is my thread, so send me a dollar if you open it Big Grin

The glass is what I would call racer grade. It has some waves and pinholes and imperfections. the pinholes you can fix easily enough. The waves are another story. It would take a lot of work to allow a smooth finish to go on these parts. Also mine came painted with primer. If yours comes this way take this advice and remove all the primer. Mine was contaminated and caused some painting problems (fingerprints bleeding through-and no they were not mine) that could only be cured by sanding off all the "factory primer" and repriming.

If you are building your car for the street they will be fine for most people's tastes. If you are building to run on the dragstrip you will like it. If you intend to show your car at anything other than a local fun type show, it won't fit the bill in my opinion.

Also keep in mind you will be giving up some protection for both you and your sheet metal. (that and a bunch of weight)

Well I'm gonna give it a shot. Not a show car just a have fun and drag racing car. If I'm not satisfied with the finished product I'll go to plan "B"! Which I still need to come up with! HuhHuhHuh

Im doing a 72 Mach retro and I prefer a chrome bumper. If you have a nice chrome bumper (MUST BE NICE), I would be willing to trade my rubber 72 bumper which is the same as the 73. Its grabber blue so you likely will need to repaint.
