Welcome to the forum! Beautiful car!

But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. James 3:17 (KJV)

Nice looking Mustang. I noticed the Mustang badges are missing on the back of the trunk lid and on the Fender; was it imported that way or did you remove them, just curious?

Nice! thumb

I think they look better without the badges anyway. I had mine removed and the holes filled.

not to bust your chops, but there's no such thing as a Mach 1 convertible.

Very nice, clean car, though.

I guess there is now. Big Grin
I've seen 72 and 73 Boss 351's and lots of 71-73 Mach1 convertibles on Ebay. Just because Ford did not make one does not mean there are lots of tributes out there to the real thing even if they never existed. Rolleyes

Mach 1 had it's own body code, even different than the fastback. Mach 1 convertibles don't exist. Nothing wrong with a tribute, or even putting the stripes on a convertible though.

That's a great looking car. I like the lack of badges, I might do that. It is so clean it almost looks fake!

Did someone swap a Windsor into it? I thought the 71 to 73 all had the 351C motor in the 351inch displacement... Pics of motor??

Nice car Fred

Jeff T.

Low buck, touring style, '73 Convertible "rolling restoration", 351c, 2v heads with a shave and a haircut, Performer intake, Holley 650(ish), roller rockers, screw in studs, guideplates, stainless valves, Duraspark / Motorsports MSD, T-5 conversion. 1-1/8" front, 3/4" rear swaybars KYB shocks and some home brewed subframe connectors. Future plans; JGC steering box, Cobra brakes and... paint, interior, etc.

When I die I want to die like grandpa, peacefully in my sleep... not screaming, like his passenger.

Hasn't the Mach 1 stuff been a optional "package" for the convertible?

Ahhh Uhhh... I really don't know what happened to me when I wrote Windsor Cool Of course it's a Cleveland!

When I got the car it was plain yellow with no stripes and badges.
I added the mach 1 stripes and liked the clean look.

Yeah, you know? I've got a '72 429 Boss!!!! I mean, that's cool, right?

Just kidding guys. Like someone posted recently, it's cool as long as you don't make claims like that when selling it. Your car, build it how you want it!

Not exactly. You could get performance upgrades and decor packages, but it's still not a Mach 1. The VIN would have to reflect it being a Mach 1, and only sportroofs could get that designation.
