351 2V Air Cleaner with Snorkel Gift
#1
Well, I received yet another Christmas gift, and it's not a White Elephant. Jim (Coilwire) saw my post about my snorkleless 2V air cleaner a while back, and sent me a complete air cleaner WITH SNORKLE free of charge... and wouldn't even let me pay for the shipping. I mounted it on the intake just before I removed it:

It's larger than the one that was on the engine when I bought it:

So I'm wondering about the difference. Different year, maybe? I'm very happy with how it looks, and can't wait to get everything put back together so that it can sit proudly on top of the rebuilt motor. THANKS, JEFF!!!

You don't mean you are going to put that 2V air cleaner on your new 4V motor, do you?

That is very, very deceptive of you Doc!

What is the world coming to?

Thats a 71 air cleaner. The smaller air cleaner came on 72-73s. Mike

Yep, OK, that makes sense. Thanks, Mike!

Hahaha. That would be rather deceptive if I kept the 2V air cleaner on top of the new 4 barrel carb. I kind of like the idea, though...

Well, with the paint scheme, everyone thinks she's a racer, so it'll be hard to turn her into a "'sleeper", but hopefully, I'll be able to at least bring her power up to par with her looks.
