3-point seat belt for fold down rear seats (ideas?)
#1
bulb
I am trying to gather ideas on how to add a 3-point seat belt for the rear seats. I have seen some posts but they have been for non fold down seat options. I have the fold down seats and being a sportsroof makes it more difficult. I could attach the retractable end of a shoulder strap to the rear floor with an angle adapter, but because of the fold down the attachment point would be by the trunk wall, about two feet behind the seat back. If I do this, then I need to find an attachment point in the roof or somewhere high by the C pillar, which I don't know if it is possible.  Chin  Any ideas?

The front shoulder belts use a welded nut on the roof structure. You could possibly do the same type of thing in the rear, but you would have to pull the head liner. I dont really know if thats a practical idea or not.

Thank you. I had them in my radar screen. They have a retractable retrofit system for the coupe. I think that with some customization and creativity it could be adapted. I just emailed them to see if they will build one to my spec.
