2005 Mustang V6
#1
Guys ,

I bought myself a new toy , it's a 2005 V6 Legend Lime.
It has a standard V6 grille ( no foglights ) and want to ad the GT looks.
I know a GT has a different grille as a V6 so an original GT grille would not fit.
So i need a foglightgrille for a V6 , there are diferent vendors on Ebay but they would not ship to Europe , if they do ship to Europe they ask $ 280,- for shipment.....

Any sugestions ??

Kind regards,

JB

Congrats on the purchase. We have an 05 legend lime v6 vert with a tan top and tan interior. We really enjoy it.

I have no info about the fog light grill but wish you success with your swap.

I would try to make my own. Find some readily available fog lights that you like and then try to find some black plastic pipe that fits around the fog light, cut the pipe to fit and make some mounting clips/brackets, cut out the holes in the grill, fasten the fog light housing (pipe) into the grill with plastic epoxy and/or brackets, and run the wiring and use a relay to power the lights.

The V6 foglight grilles are available on Ebay , shipping would cost around $80,- $90,- USPS , but the sellers on Ebay would charge me from $ 200,- / $ 280,-
Does someone know a vendor who will ship to the Netherlands an will not rip me off ??

Yes , latemodelrestoration.com has them for $ 399,-.....
And shipping via UPS for $ 220,- ......
Makes $ 619,- .... for a grille ....?

On Ebay they cost 1/2 of that price .....

What could be the reason that almost all vendors use the expensive UPS rates instead of the USPS rates ??
USPS would calculate $80/$90 and UPS from $150/$280 , i realy don't understand.

check www.Newtakeoff.com also for the lamps themselves or a grill and lamps at a cheap cost-they have all sorts of stock parts

CJPonyparts have the grille for 224.99, shipping to the Netherlands is only 67.23 with FedEx. That´s a total of 292.22$
(Put it in the cart and proceed to checkout, there you simply put "Netherlands" under "country" and it will give you the shipping costs at the right side of the page.)

Yes, both UPS and FedEx International Shipping is outrageous compared to USPS, typically 2x or more.

Let me check your shorts!

Guys ,

NTO only has the 2010/2011 style grille , CJ Ponyparts has only the overlay grilles.
Just ordered one at a vendor who was willing to ship via USPS.

Thanks for your efforts,

Kind regards,

JB
