1974 Mark IV Grill
I went today to the local pick-n-pull, not expecting much. I did find a 74 Lincoln Mark IV that was rusted beyond belief, but the grill work was calling me back to it after I looked at everything else. I always loved the early Marks, especially the grill that harkens to Rolls-Royce design. I decided to pull it and put it up on my garage wall as "art". $34 including taxes and fees. Went on-line and they are going for $200+ on eBay! OMG! I may just put it up for sale.

I took it apart to clean it up, and found the vertical grills appeared to be painted black, but online pictures show either chrome or argent. A bit of elbow grease shows chrome underneath the paint, so it looks like aircraft stripper or EasyOff Oven Cleaner is next. Once refurbished, I'll post some pics.

Let me check your shorts!

Cool find

I love the 69-71 Mark III and 72 Mark IV. 72 had the one year only front end treatment, then they went to 5 mph bumpers and changed it a bit. Very classy and sharpe cars.
Also watch those Lincolns they used the same three spoke (and rim blow) steering wheel as the Mustangs and Cougars. Just a different horn pad.
