This car was my first car, I got it when I was 16 (2003) and learned to drive on it. I learned pretty much all I know about cars from working on it, and am finally coming close to having it the way I want it. So far I have:
replaced the ignition system (MSD box, distributor etc.)
many electrical components
many u-joints
transmission rebuilt
the rear (currently 3.90 trac lok)
added slide-a-link bars
replaced the cowl panel
converted it to multipoint fuel injection which required a decent amount of fabrication (fuel rails, manifold, sumped tank a new fuel system that uses -8AN pushlock lines, Bosch 044 pump, Megasquirt 2 v3 engine management that I assembled, aeromotive pressure regulator, Caddy  Northstar throttle body)
fabricated custom shock tower braces to clear my intake setup
Probably more stuff that I am forgetting

5/8/17- Currently building 0.030 over stock rotator with cast dish pistons 351c. Solid roller cam, decent duration to bleed off a little compression since I have built Aussie heads with stainless valves and machined for studs and staying fuel injected.

Nice project! How's the fuel injection working?

Jeff T.

Low buck, touring style, '73 Convertible "rolling restoration", 351c, 2v heads with a shave and a haircut, Performer intake, Holley 650(ish), roller rockers, screw in studs, guideplates, stainless valves, Duraspark / Motorsports MSD, T-5 conversion. 1-1/8" front, 3/4" rear swaybars KYB shocks and some home brewed subframe connectors. Future plans; JGC steering box, Cobra brakes and... paint, interior, etc.

When I die I want to die like grandpa, peacefully in my sleep... not screaming, like his passenger.

Thanks guys.. The injection is nice, I haven't really driven it all that much due to an oil leak (I think the rear main) and having no paint. I have been tuning it little by little on my 15 minute rides down the block lol, but it definately runs better than with the carb at this point. It runs a little to rich at times, so I'm playing with the acceleration enrichments (kind of like tuning you accelerator pumps in a holley) and x-tau tuning (tuning for fuel that sticks to the manifold walls) to get it perfect. I'm trying to get better gas mileage out of it, but Im kind of tuning for power first.

Sounds like you have learned a lot working on it. Keep us posted on your progress.
