1973 Ford Mustang Fastback
1973 Ford Mustang 302 V8 C3 automatic. Picked this car up 3 weeks ago from someone that just saw it as a bit too much work for him to take on. I have the marti report on the car and it has the origional engine, transmission and rear end, but curently it is the wrong color, (going to put it back to the stock Ivy Glow green metallic paint), probably do some Mach 1 stripping on the car without the Mach 1 badging since it already has the NASA hood and grill off a MAch 1. The car needs read quarter panels as someone had no clue what they were doing on the install, the interior seats need to be recovered, the transmission need to be overhauled as it only goes in reverse, and just to be cleaned up and the body gone over. Whoever painted this car before i got it did no prep work and there are waves and paint chipping everywhere on this thing. I hope to bring it back to a great daily driver and hopefully sell it to someone who really apprechaites these cars.

I really like that black...good looking driver too
You wouldn't happen to know what color "black" that is, do you? I like it as a possible choice for the '69 Mach 1 that I am "putting together."

As previously stated, it appears you have a very nice Mustang. Perhaps you might become attached to it to the point that you might decide to keep itSmile!

Do the RIGHT thing.
Should have a C4 trans possibly an FMX but most likely C4 with a 302

Yes you are right I mistyped that transmission C4 Automatic 3 speed transmission!!! I don't know what color black the car as i didn not paint it is and this car is a great 20 footer daily driver, however the pictures don't show a lot of imperfections, but soon they will be all fixed up.

Nice project! It reminds me of the 72 my friend races.

Jeff T.

Low buck, touring style, '73 Convertible "rolling restoration", 351c, 2v heads with a shave and a haircut, Performer intake, Holley 650(ish), roller rockers, screw in studs, guideplates, stainless valves, Duraspark / Motorsports MSD, T-5 conversion. 1-1/8" front, 3/4" rear swaybars KYB shocks and some home brewed subframe connectors. Future plans; JGC steering box, Cobra brakes and... paint, interior, etc.

When I die I want to die like grandpa, peacefully in my sleep... not screaming, like his passenger.
