What would be a fair price for this project in actual condition? Opinions needed
Thanks

I think the starting is bid more than enough... a lot of parts are missing or destroyed.

I would not buy this personally.

Extremely rusty. A real shame.
Guess it depends on your threshold for work required. Tons of metal work replacing rusty areas.
Nicely optioned Colorado Mustang. I'd like to see it restored back original but sadly I think this one will be modded if ever revived to driveable status. As to value - agree with eddyw's prev post.

air cleaner lid says scj lol. I see 50+ thousand for full resto............ but that's just my tainted PoV. Just to break it down from a quick look, 10 in body disassembly and blasting, 5 in sheet metal, large and small, 2 in plastic's and glass on the front, 1 in the rear, 2 in the middle metal, 3 in the electric and dash/ducts/cowl, 3 in the interior finish maybe 4,4 in the engine +1 or 2 on peripheral crap, 1 on the trans, 2 on the suspension, and another 2 on the wheels and tires, and they throw 7 more into final body, prime and paint. I'm probably conservative unless you wanna completely mod it for racing or do it all yourself.

Alternatively you could get it running as a rat rod for a few grand, and drop that 50 probably adjusted to 75-80 for inflation into it for the next 20 years as you go. But its gonna leak, squeak, and groan the whole time.

Dave probably has one in his yard in nearly the same condition if he hasn't cannibalized it yet, I'm sure he'd let one go reasonably.

Humm, Interesting most time you guys are all in to restore one, lol.
I would think the price where it is would be good for car with this color and options. Yes there is rust but it cost the same to replace a floor for a 4" hole as for this one. It actually probably has less rust than a lot I have seen you guys work on. Just wish it had the black out hood and hood locks.
Numbers matching standard bore is a big plus for sure.
You should get in touch with owner and if it does not sale see if you can get otherwise. I did turn down a 71 M code Mach 1 that was one of the 150 with vinyl roof for way less last year seems like $2,000.
If you are looking better to place ad than look for one. They will come to you if you advertise all over the U.S..

I do respect the sellers candor. I am going to venture a guess judging by all the other rust that the shock towers and inner fenders are rough. The fact that it appears to have been left outside since Reagan was President, I can only imagine what the cowl looks like. I do hope it can be saved. You really have to see something like this up close and personal to make a good assessment or you are really just rolling the dice.
