What is the color code? I just purchased a convertible in primer and it is was metallic gold color wondered if this would be it.
Sharp looking ride.

Its not an original factory color. I think the 2 yellows for 72 were, Medium Bright Yellow, & Grabber Yellow. Mine is somewhere in-between. I asked the guy who restored it for the color name, but he didn't have one. It was more of a custom mix. I call it Yellow Wow! Thank's, it really is a beautiful car.

John, Regarding the black portion of the hood. Should that be gloss, semi-gloss or flat? I too am not going to stay with the original paint color. I'm looking for a grabber lime green look but still want to stay in theme. Yours a great looking car by the way. You get another 2 thumbs up from me.

Everyone's definition of a black out hood is a little different. I cannot give you the paint code but my car is an original never painted and it is flat and should be to prevent glare. I guess I cannot post a picture from this part of thread.

My hood & rear spoiler are gloss black. I bought the car this way. It looks great, but it should be a flat or satin black I believe. I really do like the gloss, but like David said it does glare. Sometimes it's pretty bright and can be annoying. I'm not sure if I did the paint which way I would go. The gloss black really does pop nice though.

I have rear window louvers to put on and those came painted flat. I'm going to put them on that way, but I will probably want to spray them with some gloss clear to make them match the rest of the black.
Thank's for the thumbs up! Smile
