Edit: 1972 F code, original color was yellow but someone did a maroon Maaco job to it. My father did a driveline swap with a 1970 T-bird donor car. Also, he added deluxe door panels. I'm currently de-rusting it and adding roll-down rear quarter windows. Looking at converting them to power windows.
Specs:
Engine: 429 Thunderjet, D0VE-A casting. Can't find the engine block VIN yet. Has D0VE-C small chamber heads and currently is topped by a Holley 4150 600 CFM carb.
Tranny: C6, casting number looks like RF-D0AR (or D0AB)-7006. I have to get a better look at it.
Rear Differential: 9.3", 31 spline, 2.80:1. Rebuilt in 2002 or 2003.
Options: Sport deck rear seat, A/C, not sure about other options yet. I need a Marti report to get all that.
Color: Medium yellow metallic. Changed to 2012 Kona Blue (Mustang only color).
Interior: Now it's all black.
Born on date: 12/9/1971

Cool project, I almost painted mine brandy wine. I wish I had painted mine a different color but it get a lot of positive feedback, so be sure you go with the color you want or you won't be happy.

Good advice. I would like to keep the tan interior, so I want something that will go well with it. Gray and tan don't mix!

Yeah everytime I see a old hot rod done in the brandy wine I just think what if. but just was not sure it would look like on my car.

Thanks Mach. I was originally thinking black and tan but I'm definately leaning toward burgundy or brandywine. It's a classy combo.

love the candy apple red just not sure how it would look on our cars. I have seen a few 68's with it and they look killer.

I'm not a huge fan of the really bright colors, I prefer the subdued look. I'm not a flashy guy.
But I love torque!!!

Silver stripes might be nice too, but with tan interior black stripes probably better!
•
Yeah, if it was a black interior the silver stripes would be sweet. I'd like to have it finished by summer of 2012 because I want to drive it before the world ends .
