Bought this '72 vert this summer. Plans are to strip it down and rebuild it for the "Crazy Fun" of doing it. It runs and is in pretty good condition, so hopefully the rebuild will not involve a full engine rebuild and hopefully won't involve a lot of body work.

I'll add more details here as I figure it out.

Humm, Mach 1 upgrades. The name Mach 1 in the stripe. You could get stripe on vert but without Mach 1. The vinyl insert in the carpet and the honeycomb panel on tail light panel is about all Mach 1 gave you was an appearance package not performance. Put if back like it should be.

I agree. I'm not trying to claim anything, just pointing out what was on it when I bought it. In fact, it says "351 RAM AIR" but there's no Ram Air in it. Oh well. Previous owner that had "fun" with stickers and such. Heh.

Thanks Mike!

Yeah, I bought a bunch of clear plastic bins so I can keep everything and label it properly. I'm taking tons of pics and narrated videos. In fact, I'll probably throw together a blog to keep track of it (and my daughter will get a kick out of helping with the blog).

Speaking of: we had some fun filming alternate surprises when opening the trunk for the first time (I had to drill the lock out as there were no keys for it). We did about 6 "takes" with different things inside: balloons, golf balls, guinea pigs, our new puppy, a phantom letter, etc. It was lots of fun.

Anyway, I'll post some more pics here, particularly as we start stripping the interior. That's the next big step. I want to get it down to just the body, so that'll be a bit of work.
