1971 Sportsroof
These are the pics I downloaded from Ebay where I bought this car. I was taken by the fact that the car is a Texas native (will verify that when I see the data plate and get the Marti report) and has very little rust and very few dings in the body. The owner did tell me that the engine turns over at this point but does not yet run as they stopped the installation. Of course, that could mean anything so we are approaching this like it doesn't run and will go from there.

I have no idea what the interior is like or what other options the car has aside from what looks like a factory vinyl roof which is rare for a Sportsroof (again, Marti will hopefully tell the truth).

Got it in today and did a quick look up on the VIN and the door data plate and this is what I found-

M code 351-4V
Original Color is Grabber Yellow
Axle is 3.00:1 Standard Differential
Transmission is a C6

a 351 4V sportsroof sounds great!! The fact that it is a powerful non Mach 1 fastback sounds rare to me Tongue

What are your plans for the restoration Mac?

Fine question, Damián, fine question! I won't know until I get my Marti report in another week or so.

Very nice - a M code sportsroof. How complete is the car?

Pretty much everything is there with some things MIA but they are readily available (i.e. AC compressor, correct breather, right wheels and wheel covers and a drive shaft). The floors are solid as is most of the body with some areas needing attention. While I'd never say it will be an easy restoration job, I also don't think it's going to kill me. We'll see... Wink
