1971 Mustang Mach I
If I could give one bit of advice and that is if you have OCD then you should never restore car. I purchased the 71 Mach 1 for $9,000, 63K miles and it ran and shifted well. Looks were deceiving for sure, but from 20 ft the car looked good. Once I started looking closer it needed some loving of course my problem is every time I took a part off I took off 5 more. Until I ended up with a shell on a frame and tires. As of today I have replaced trunk pan and other rear metal pieces, inner and outer wheels, lower rear quarters, floor pans, cowl, inner fenders, outer fenders and the hood. Everything was fixed and treated to include the frame. It's all matching as I have seen the VIN on the inner fenders, the engine and the transmission...and of course the dash. Now I'm ready to start putting it back together with pretty much all new parts in the interior any ways. I have completely redone the engine and the tranny. Any advice on putting back with some instructions wouldn't hurt my feelings.

Sounds like it will be a keeper once you are done with the resto. Is red the original color and are you staying with that?

Red is gone, don't like Georgia Bulldog colors Smile Marti Report says blue metallic with blue interior so going to put it back as much as original as I can.

Kudos on putting it back original color. Worth the extra effort if originality important to you.

But I kinda like red too - if it is the original color... LOL
